Are you a driven individual with a passion for efficient material movement? Our Dallas, Texas facility is looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our operations. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of materials within our warehouse, ensuring that products are moved safely and efficiently from receipt to storage and ultimately to shipping. You will operate a variety of equipment and work with a dedicated team to maintain optimal inventory levels and support overall logistics operations. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through proper placement and documentation.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 70 lbs, regularly.
- Must wear provided PPE, including steel-toed boots and safety glasses.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes is beneficial.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
