We are expanding our **logistics** team in Charlotte, North Carolina, and seeking experienced Material Handlers. This role is essential for the efficient movement and management of materials within our busy warehouse. You will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment, ensuring accurate inventory counts, and upholding the highest standards of **safety**. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial equipment as needed.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and shipping docks.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles, verifying shipment contents against manifests.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Ensure materials are stored correctly and efficiently to maximize space utilization.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections on all equipment and report any defects.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment, strictly following **safety** procedures.
- Wear all required **PPE**, including hard hats, safety glasses, and vests, as mandated.
- Support **logistics** operations by preparing materials for outgoing shipments.
- Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and team **safety**.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other relevant machinery.
- Valid **forklift** certification is highly preferred.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including frequent **lifting** of up to 50 pounds.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse **safety** protocols and the correct use of **PPE**.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent time management skills and punctuality.
- A proactive approach to maintaining a **safe** and productive workspace.
