We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and implementing inventory control procedures to minimize losses and ensure optimal stock levels. You will work closely with warehouse staff to ensure proper receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping processes are followed. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a keen eye for detail are essential. This position requires the ability to work independently, analyze data, and implement solutions. While this role is not heavily focused on physical labor, occasional lifting may be required. Adherence to safety protocols and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is expected where applicable within the warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Work with warehouse teams to ensure accurate receiving, put-away, and shipping processes.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage the return process and ensure accurate credit/debit memos.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks as needed for inventory tasks.
- Train warehouse associates on inventory control best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret and analyze data.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE guidelines when required.
