We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse operations in Seattle, Washington . In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your efficiency and attention to detail are crucial for maintaining smooth warehouse operations and ensuring the integrity of our inventory and logistics flow. This position requires a strong commitment to workplace Safety , as you will be operating heavy machinery. We provide comprehensive training, all necessary PPE , and expect strict adherence to all safety regulations. The role involves regular Lifting and moving of materials. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Move and stack merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks.
- Inspect equipment before and after use, reporting any defects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Follow all instructions from warehouse supervisors and management.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Support overall warehouse efficiency and logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling.
- Strong understanding of Safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform tasks involving Lifting and moving materials up to 70 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Willingness to wear required PPE .
- Familiarity with Logistics procedures is a plus.
