We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our operations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials within our warehouse and manufacturing areas. Your primary duties will involve receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as assisting with inventory management. We are dedicated to providing a Safe and supportive workplace where quality and efficiency are paramount. This position is crucial to our Logistics network, ensuring that materials are where they need to be, when they need to be. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials and products.
- Transport materials to and from production areas, docks, and storage locations using equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to housekeeping standards.
- Ensure all material handling activities comply with Safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Follow proper Lifting techniques to prevent injuries and product damage.
- Support the Logistics department by ensuring efficient material flow.
- Operate equipment safely and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist with shipping and receiving as directed.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including significant Lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with Logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
