Your primary responsibilities will involve safely and effectively moving, storing, and organizing materials within the facility. This role is vital to our logistics chain, ensuring the smooth flow of goods from receiving to shipping. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Receive, identify, and store incoming shipments.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper placement and stock rotation.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring accurate quantities and proper packaging.
- Conduct daily equipment checks and report any issues promptly.
- Follow all established safety procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with physical inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions, both written and verbal.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks involving frequent bending, stooping, and lifting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting, up to 60 lbs.
- A commitment to the logistics of efficient supply chain management.
