We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Denver, Colorado. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials within our warehouse. Your proficiency with various types of material handling equipment and your commitment to safety will be essential. This is a hands-on position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and integrity of our supply chain. We prioritize a safe working environment and expect all team members to be diligent in following safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Move materials and products between different areas of the warehouse, including storage racks and staging zones.
- Receive, identify, and accurately store incoming inventory.
- Pick and prepare materials for production or shipment as required.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ensure all materials are stored properly to prevent damage and optimize space utilization.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with resolving discrepancies.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and organization of the warehouse logistics.
- Ensure a clean and orderly work environment.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proficiency in operating various types of warehouse equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with WMS and inventory control principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
