We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our busy logistics team in San Francisco, California. In this essential role, you will be responsible for managing the incoming flow of goods into our warehouse. Your duties will include unloading trucks, inspecting shipments for damage or discrepancies, verifying contents against purchase orders, and accurately entering received goods into our inventory system. This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and organized receiving area.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Inspect all incoming shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Verify the quantity and quality of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received items into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Label and stage incoming goods for put-away.
- Communicate any receiving discrepancies or issues to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse operations by ensuring accurate and timely receiving.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring physical activity.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all warehouse safety guidelines, including wearing required PPE.
