We are hiring a Picker/Packer to join our bustling distribution center in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders with precision and speed. Your daily tasks will involve locating and retrieving products from warehouse shelves, carefully packing them for transit, and preparing them for outgoing shipments. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work efficiently, and a strong dedication to workplace safety. You'll be an integral part of our logistics network, handling diverse products in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve ordered items from warehouse shelving using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Inspect picked items for any defects or discrepancies before packing.
- Package goods carefully to prevent damage during transit, ensuring all items are included.
- Apply correct shipping labels and documentation to packages.
- Utilize pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain an orderly and clean workspace, strictly following safety regulations.
- Participate in inventory checks and cycle counts when requested.
- Report any operational issues or delays to the supervisor without delay.
Qualifications:
- GED or High School Diploma required.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing position preferred.
- Proficiency in reading pick lists and shipping labels.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Must be able to remain on your feet for prolonged durations and perform consistent tasks.
- Superior organizational and time management capabilities.
- Thorough understanding of safety protocols and commitment to using required PPE.
- Must possess the ability for lifting up to 50 lbs.
