*SUMMARY:*
A Host Home Provider will share their life, home and community with an adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities. An ideal candidate is someone who has community presence, and is passionate about helping others fulfill their hopes and dreams of independent living; Someone who is willing to open their home and share their family and life with another adult. A Host Home Provider is dedicated to providing support and assistance to another adult within your own home as well as the community. A Host Home Provider essentially rents out a room in their home to an individual with developmental disabilities and provides that person with day-to-day support to live a successful life. Star Choices strives to match Host Home Providers with a person they will support keeping in mind lifestyles, preferences and personalities. The supports needed will vary depending on the person you get match with and could include but are not limited to:
Doctor’s appointments
Cooking
Personal hygiene/bathing
Medication administration
Cleaning
Mobility
