*We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team.* The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life through occupational therapy interventions. We are a skilled nursing community is a beautiful/modern facility, with a well-equipped rehab gym and a high volume of short-term care patients.
The purpose of this position is to provide and direct all aspects of quality patient care, including evaluation and treatment, treatment planning, goal setting, family education, and documentation according to organization's guidelines, professional standards, and community needs. Serves as a patient and rehabilitation advocate for current and prospective patients, and to all internal and external customers. Actively participates in quality assurance and customer service activities.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Provides occupational therapy to patients according to licensure
* Implement therapeutic interventions to improve residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.
* Educate residents and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment to facilitate daily activities.
* Maintain accurate documentation of treatment progress in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Work collaboratively with nursing and rehabilitation teams to promote comprehensive care.
* Communicates patient status and needs to the patient, family, caregivers, or other members involved with patient care
* Support residents in achieving their recovery goals
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
*Qualifications:*
* Graduate of an approved curriculum in Occupational Therapy
* Master’s degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
* In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
* Experience in geriatric care or a nursing home setting is preferred but not required.
* Full knowledge of resident’s rights
* Compassionate approach and enthusiasm for working with the elderly.
* Must be able to pass a background check and meet all state requirements

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 - $56.00 per hour
