*Summary*
Our practice is a busy medical eye care practice in the heart of Dover, NH. We are looking for an experienced glaucoma certified optometrist to join Dover Eye Care team of doctors. Interests in glaucoma management, initiating a myopia management clinic and medical research is a plus. If there is a particular area of eye care that is of great interest, our team will work with you to build an exam room and protocols to support your interest. We are looking for part time (1-3 days) or full time (4 or 5 days) NH licensed optometrist with glaucoma certification and interests in laser surgery. A work day is Monday to Friday- 2 patients an hour with an assigned tech assisting daily. Our office is equipped with an OPTOS, Topcon Autorefraction, Tear Care, corneal topographer, Lipiscan, Lipiflow, Meiboflo, Topcon CA800, RetEval ERG, Ivue OCT, pachymeter, visual field, Icare, multiple automated lensometers, Goldman tonometers, optical edger, Heine BIOs, scleral fitting sets, specialty contact lens sets and the ability to purchase any equipment that will allow you to practice the optometry field of your interest. We are a family oriented practice and support family hours and needs. We highly encourage work-home balance. We have a full staff and services that includes a call center, pre-patient visit billing review, and an emergency triage call and text system to assist maintaining your patient care. Daily hours are 8-5pm no weekends. The work load involves delivering a comprehensive eye examinations, CL fits, office visits with ocular disease testing (HVF,OCT, Pachs etc ) and or medical emergent triages. We are looking for a doctor that is kind and considerate to patients and values a safe and happy work place. Our office is structured in an huddles teams. Each huddle reception, opticians, technicians, billing specialists and doctors have a team lead that works with our amazing office manager to ensure a supported work place. We appreciate time and care spent with our patients to deliver quality care. An optometrist that joins our team will join our mission to enhance eye health for families across the community. Per Diem or full time with benefits our salary is competitive with experience. All interviews are confidential. To allow for credentialing- start date is February 1, 2026.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct thorough eye examinations and diagnose visual problems.
* Prescribe corrective lenses and treatment plans tailored to each patient.
* Educate patients on eye health, safety, and preventive care.
* Maintain accurate medical records using EMR and EHR systems.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
* Stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology and optometry.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques.
* Provide excellent customer service to foster patient trust and satisfaction.
* *Qualifications*
* Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program.
* Valid state license to practice optometry.
* Strong knowledge of ophthalmology, physiology, and anatomy related to eye care.
* Experience with EMR/EHR systems and medical records management.
* Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
* Ability to work collaboratively and kindly within a team environment.
* Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and medical coding is preferred.
