We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for training and developing chefs, maintaining culinary standards, and supporting new openings and events.
- Train, develop, and supervise Sushi Chefs and Prep Chefs to ensure high-quality food service and excellent customer satisfaction.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, achieving exceptional feedback from staff in regular reviews.
- Ensure all staff receive comprehensive training on food safety and hygiene, holding a valid Food Safety Manager Certificate and ensuring all chefs have current Food Handler Certificates.
- Maintain quality and portion control, manage inventory effectively, and ensure menu item availability at all times.
- Collaborate with management to maintain strict cost control and optimize food costs within established targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to full compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as an Executive Sous Chef or equivalent role.
- Proven track record of success in maintaining culinary and operational standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to train and develop staff to meet business objectives.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene protocols.
- Valid Food Safety Manager Certificate and current Food Handler Certificates.
