Sushi Mastery Role

We are seeking an experienced Sushi Mastery professional to join our culinary team. In this key position, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes under the direction of our experienced chefs.

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in sushi-making techniques, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine passion for Japanese cuisine. Your role will involve preparing, cooking, and presenting nigiri, sashimi, maki rolls, and specialty rolls using traditional Japanese methods and rice preparation techniques.

• Main Responsibilities:
• Preparation and presentation of sushi dishes with attention to detail and quality standards.
• Assisting chefs in maintaining a clean and organized workspace while adhering to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Supporting inventory management by receiving, storing, and rotating perishable items.
• Participating in prep tasks such as slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients.
• Collaboration with team members to ensure timely service and consistent plate presentation.

Requirements:

• Broad knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and Japanese ingredients.
• Demonstrated knife skills and comfort working with raw fish and seafood.
• Strong focus on cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Able to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• A willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Able to work well under pressure and in a team setting.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
