About the Role

Our Pastry Team is a small, passionate group of motivated professionals dedicated to creating memorable and beautifully crafted desserts. As part of our opening team, you'll help shape the pastry program from day one — bringing creativity, precision, and pride to every plate.

You'll be responsible for preparing, plating, and executing exceptional desserts while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace that meets Prime + Proper's culinary standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of breads, pastries, and plated desserts according to standardized recipes.


  • Safely and effectively operate kitchen equipment, including mixers, ovens, and knives.


  • Maintain portion controls, par levels, and presentation standards.


  • Support the Pastry Sous Chef with organization and prep execution.


  • Demonstrate solid foundational pastry techniques and a willingness to grow your skill set.


  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


  • Follow all kitchen standards, sanitation, and safety policies.


  • Assist in training new team members and help build a positive, learning-focused culture.


  • Maintain efficiency and minimize waste while upholding quality standards.
