Responsibilities:
- Managing real estate transactions by preparing legal documents.
- Maintain filing system, and create processes to ensure easy reference.
- Prepare and review correspondence including memos, contracts, and proposals, ensuring legal accuracy.
- Conducting Land Title and municipality tax searches.
- Coordinate and prepare corporate registry documents.
- Communicating with client, real estate agents and lenders.
- Managing company files and schedules, filing, mailing and other clerical functions as required.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Legal Assistant experience; previous experience working in Real Estate is a must.
- A legal assistant diploma or related education is required.
- Proficiency in Alberta specific conveyancing software such as Unity and SPIN2 is required.
- A professional demeanor, diplomatic approach, the ability to think critically and take initiative are essential.
- Ability to adhere to deadlines, be a self-starter and manage time efficiently.
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Office Skills is required.
