• Cuts, prepares, and merchandises a variety of meat products including beef, pork, lamb, veal, and poultry.
• Develops specialty meat merchandise like sausages, oven-ready products, and cured meats.
• Evaluates products for quality adherence in line with established standards.
• Executes effective sampling programs.
• Monitors and assists in preventing spoilage, ensuring optimal product freshness.
• Provides guidance and support to assigned Meat Cutter Trainees.
• Arrives at workstations on time, appropriately attired, and prepared to work; attends scheduled shifts and required trainings/meetings.
• Delivers exceptional customer service, addresses customer needs efficiently, and models suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales potential by following proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising products.
• Ensures adherence to and compliance with established procedures, including health and sanitation practices, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary working environment and ensures equipment is operated in accordance with company cleanliness and safety standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, verifies accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Immediately reports any safety hazards or violations.
• Carries out additional duties assigned by leadership.
