The ideal candidate enjoys variety in their workday, balancing travel to assigned facilities with focused remote responsibilities. Strong time management and organizational skills are essential to successfully plan facility visits, manage documentation, and monitor patient vitals from a remote setting.
This position is best suited for someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and thrives working both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team. The Hybrid CMA will conduct onsite wellness checks, record and upload patient vitals, and provide remote monitoring and follow-up to ensure continuity of care.
Candidates must have an active *CMA (AAMA)*, *RMA (AMT)*, or *CCMA (NHA)* certification and be comfortable traveling regularly to facilities within their assigned territory. A dedicated home workspace, reliable high-speed internet, dependable personal transportation, and a valid drivers license are required for this position.
*Responsibilities*
*Onsite Responsibilities*
* Conduct wellness checks for assigned residents a minimum of twice per month per facility.
* Record and document vital signs accurately using the MedStreamline mobile application.
* Perform basic device inspections and troubleshooting during each visit to ensure all monitoring equipment functions properly.
* Communicate with facility staff, CNAs, and Directors of Nursing to address patient and device concerns.
* Collaborate with the Account Manager and Onsite CMA Manager to maintain scheduling, documentation accuracy, and equipment readiness.
* Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with facility staff and administrators.
*Remote Responsibilities*
* Monitor assigned patients’ vitals (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, etc.) through MedStreamline’s remote monitoring platform.
* Identify abnormal readings and escalate critical alerts to healthcare providers promptly, following established protocols.
* Coordinate with Nurse Practitioners, Wellness Directors, and physicians to support timely patient interventions.
* Ensure all communication and documentation adhere to HIPAA and MedStreamline compliance standards.
* Participate in virtual meetings, compliance training, and departmental updates as scheduled.
*Collaboration & Reporting*
* Maintain daily communication with the Onsite CMA Manager and Account Manager for your region.
* Submit accurate and timely documentation of all onsite and remote activities.
* Support training and device demonstrations as needed within assigned facilities.
*Travel Requirements:* This position involves weekly travel to multiple facilities across a geographic area. Standard IRS mileage reimbursement rate will be applied for Onsite responsibilities.
*Candidate Profile*
* Required:
* Active CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), or RMA (AMT) certification required.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical or patient-facing healthcare setting.
* Strong technical proficiency with mobile applications, digital documentation tools, and basic troubleshooting.
* Reliable personal transportation and valid driver’s license.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across remote and onsite environments.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to effectively manage multiple, competing priorities
* Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively.
* Preferred:
* Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or skilled nursing facilities.
* Familiarity with telehealth and remote patient monitoring platforms.
* Proficiency in Google Workspace and EMR/EHR systems.
* Video conferencing experience
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced work environment in a growing company
* 2+ years of college
The hourly pay for this position is $20 per hour based on experience. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for benefits (subject to eligibility requirements). Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
