We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various procedures while ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations. This role requires a compassionate individual who is passionate about promoting oral health and educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices.
*Duties*
* Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
* Utilize medical imaging systems to capture X-rays and assess dental health.
* Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary tools and support.
* Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with HIPAA standards.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
* Implement infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
* Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and improve office efficiency.
*Skills*
* Proficient in dental office procedures and protocols.
* Experience with medical imaging systems for capturing X-rays.
* Knowledge of general dentistry practices and pediatric care.
* Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
* Excellent patient care skills with a focus on comfort and education.
* Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental management software is preferred.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
