Role Summary The Director of Sales UK & Ireland (UKI) at TeraRecon will be responsible for driving significant and continuous business growth within their assigned geographic territory. They will leverage their understanding of the clinical AI‑enabled advanced visualization ecosystem to effectively communicate TeraRecon's value proposition and market differentiators. The role involves systematically selling and upselling to both NHS and private accounts to ensure comprehensive opportunity coverage, maintaining low attrition rates, and establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders. The role will be responsible for direct and indirect/partner channels in the UKI region.
Responsibilities
Understand the industry, customer and competitive landscapes to create a UKI growth plan in medical imaging.
Specifically, the advanced visualization and clinical AI domain to achieve quota, customer satisfaction, while growing the business significantly and consistently.
Effectively communicate the value proposition of TeraRecon products as well as their market differentiators.
Systematically sell/upsell simultaneously to installed base and new accounts in the assigned geographic territory to ensure top‑down and bottom‑up opportunity coverage.
Achieve
Represent and communicate the vision for our company through formal presentations and informal customer discussions.
Leverage TeraRecon’s senior executive team effectively to support larger, strategic customer engagements.
Develop and execute a detailed annual sales plan for your assigned geographic territory, creating qualified (budgeted) pipeline equivalent to 4× the annual objective.
Practice clear, transparent, and effective communications with management, customers, and supporting team members.
Help create a clinical and technical key opinion leader (KOL) group for the UKI market.
Travel to customer locations, KOL meetings and industry events in support of sales efforts.
Position yourself as a thought leader for cloud‑based software/SaaS delivery.
Partner seamlessly with VAR partners (PACS software, global medical device) and other indirect sales teams to lead a coordinated and effective team selling across the assigned territory.
Manage and mentor junior sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure individual and team success. This includes setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and identifying areas for development.
Contribute to the development and execution of market strategies for the UK & Ireland, identifying key opportunities and challenges, and adapting sales approaches to maximize impact within the region. This may include market analysis, competitor research, and identifying new customer segments.
Onboard and train new sales team members, ensuring they have a strong understanding of TeraRecon products, sales processes, and the competitive landscape. This includes developing and delivering training materials, conducting product demonstrations, and providing ongoing support.
Accurately forecast sales revenue for the UK & Ireland region, maintaining a healthy and robust sales pipeline to achieve quarterly and annual targets. Provide weekly reporting of pipeline and forecast accuracy updates to VP of EMEA Sales. This includes proactively identifying and qualifying new opportunities, managing the sales cycle effectively, and providing regular updates on pipeline progress.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree desired; advanced degrees are an advantage.
Radiology or cardiology background is highly desirable.
Track record of consistently achieving and exceeding quota and managing complex sales.
10+ years’ experience successfully selling radiology, cardiology, vascular or clinical software, workflow and/or AI software.
Demonstrated experience selling subscription / cloud SaaS solutions.
Ability and desire to prospect and self‑generate robust pipeline to achieve the sales quota.
Ability to close deals on time and within company‑standard discounting parameters.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
Strong work ethic, self‑directed, and resourceful.
Strong customer references.
Understand and practice all requirements of EN ISO 13485, ISO 13485, TeraRecon QMS Manual, process flows and work instructions.
Comply with applicable regulatory requirements (including but not limited to MDSAP participating countries, GDPR and CE Marking).
