This application is an evergreen opportunity , which means by applying once, you'll be considered for current and future Respiratory Therapist positions at our Glenbrook Hospital location in Glenview.
Sign-on bonus potential up to $20,000 for full-time nights
Position Highlights:
- Full-time or PRN
- Days, Evenings, or Night shift (3rd shift)
- Sign on bonus potential
What you will do :
- Provide respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures
- Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment
- Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians
- Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
- Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients
- Provide patient and staff education
What you will need:
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligible status
- State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure within six months of employment
- Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association
