X-Ray Imaging Specialist

Job Role

Performs a variety of diagnostic, fluoroscopic and OR/C-arm x-ray procedures. Additional duties may include EKG, phlebotomy, obtaining vital signs and other tasks as needed. Rotating call is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists with room setup and maintains patient care areas in stock.


• Operates mobile and stationary x-ray units to produce high-quality images under the supervision of a Radiologist and in accordance with ALARA principles.

Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, graduate from an approved School of Radiologic Technology and have relevant clinical experience in radiology.

Education and Certification

Must hold current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Texas Driver's License and Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT)- Temporary General Certificate from the State of Texas or Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) General Certificate from the State of Texas.

The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification in Radiography R.T. (R) is also required.
