Pharmacy Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role provides vital support in medication dispensing, patient care, and pharmacy operations. Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
• Manage inventory, stock supplies, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
• Provide compassionate patient care by answering questions and offering guidance on medication usage
• Prepare prescription labels and ensure accuracy of medication orders
• Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and patient interactions
• Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing prescriptions
• Uphold safety standards and comply with all regulatory requirements related to medication handling and patient privacy

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient interaction
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
• Certification or training in pharmacy assistance or related fields is advantageous but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
