At our core, we manufacture optical inspection, non-contact measuring, digital and digital stereo systems, primarily supplying industrial manufacturers for Assembly, Quality Control and Non-contact Inspection and Measurement. Our market is global and encompasses electronic, precision engineering, plastics, medical device manufacturing, analytical laboratories and increasingly biomedical laboratories. Other divisions focus on end-to-end design, manufacturing and commercialisation services, supplying optical sourcing solutions for defence, medical and OEM sectors, and providing high-end machining and anodizing services, primarily for the medical, defence and energy sectors. With operations in 9 countries and a turnover of £32M, we are looking for an experienced, dynamic Group Sales Director to drive our global growth strategy, while managing the day-to-day operational sales functions.

Directly manage senior country managers and influence global sales professionals
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Own and drive a global sales strategy using strategic and commercial leadership
Drive sales performance and profitability in international branches, and drive sales and market expansion in local (and diversified) sales divisions
Collaborate with the Board to make high-level commercial decisions
Develop and manage annual sales forecasts, strategic plans and budgets with regional teams and hold full turnover and P&L responsibility
Set and monitor lead generation and sales targets with the Marketing Conduct commercial performance analysis and implement strategies to maximise turnover and profitability. Oversee commercial product management
Lead 6 senior country managers and oversee 40+ international sales
Oversee international trade show participation and industry events

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experienced Sales Director or Senior Sales Leader in a technical organisation
Strong track record in managing international sales teams and export operations
Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
Happy to travel internationally on a monthly basis
Commutable to Send, Surrey or willing to relocate to achieve this, in due course
