About Us
Banbury Crossroads School, established 1979, is a progressive, independent K–12 school in Calgary offering two innovative programs: a Self-Directed Learning stream and a specialized Academy for students with diverse learning needs. With small class sizes, individualized instruction, and a strong emphasis on social-emotional development, we support each student's unique learning journey.

  • Adapt instruction to accommodate a range of learning needs and styles, including neurodivergent learners.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team, learning support staff, and administration to monitor and support student progress.
  • Create and maintain a nurturing, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
  • Support the school's commitment to self-directed learning, differentiated instruction, and student empowerment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Education degree.
  • Alberta Teaching Certificate or Interim Professional Certificate (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Demonstrated experience or interest in inclusive education and neurodiverse classrooms.

Assets
