Role:
- We are seeking a Red Seal certified mechanic with experience in repairing, servicing and diagnosing Foundation and/or Rock Drilling equipment.
- Experience with major brands such as Sandvik, CAT, John Deere, Comacchio, ABI, Bauer, and Klemm considered an asset.
- Ability to lift and manage 50 pounds without assistance.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have a minimal 3-5-year experience.
- Willing to travel and be away from home occasionally.
- Willing to work in the field and in remote locations.
Requirements:
· Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Certification.
· Must have own tools.
· A minimum of 3 years experience working with large construction and heavy-duty
construction and drilling equipment.
· Experience with blast hole and production drilling is an asset.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
· Valid Driver's Licence.
· Must be available to travel for out-of-town field calls.
· Excellent troubleshooting and technical skills.
· Superior mechanical aptitude.
· Shop and/or field work experience.
· Demonstrates commitment to safe work practices.
· Conducts business on behalf of Traxxon in a professional manner.
· First-Aid, Forklift, and other certifications considered an asset.
· Welding ticket/experience considered an asset.
· Experience working on heavy construction equipment with an emphasis in electronics, CAN-bus wiring, hydraulics, powertrains, is desired.
· Can read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics.
