Duties

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes.
• Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal as well as taste.
• Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards.
• Package baked goods for display and sale, ensuring freshness and quality are preserved.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons regarding dessert options and recommendations.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene and safety in the kitchen.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a restaurant or bakery setting, with a focus on pastry preparation.
• Strong skills in cake decorating and presentation techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
• Proficiency in food preparation techniques, including baking, cooking, and packaging.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and patrons.
• Previous kitchen experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools.
