Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting data. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles to support the company's financial health and compliance. The Bookkeeper will play a vital role in account reconciliation, bank statement analysis, and budgeting processes to facilitate informed financial decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry and record keeping using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and company records
  • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and resolve issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Assist with payroll processing and related reporting requirements
  • Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and revenue against forecasts
  • Prepare financial reports for management review and audit purposes
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with familiarity in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation
  • Experience with payroll processing is preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare clear reports for management review
  • Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial analysis techniques is a plus
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and external auditors
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $27.50-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week
