You’ll work closely with cloud services to deploy and scale backend systems that handle large volumes of data, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.Your contributions will include designing high-quality APIs, optimizing systems for speed, and creating secure, crypto-first solutions that enable seamless payments. You'll collaborate with global cross-functional teams, review code, make architectural decisions, and stay at the forefront of fintech and crypto trends. While the role is open to remote candidates based in the U.S., we have a strong preference for those located in or near San Francisco or New York. If you're passionate about shaping the future of finance and building cutting-edge, scalable systems, we want you on our team.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain backend services and APIs to support innovative crypto solutionsWork with multi-cloud platforms for deployment, scalability, and high availabilityCollaborate on exciting projects like wallet connectivity, exchange integration, crypto payments, and smart contractsConduct thorough testing and debugging, ensuring timely resolution of issuesContribute to code reviews, system design, and architectural decisionsWrite clean, high-quality, and efficient code following industry best practicesOptimize backend systems for reliability, performance, scalability, and data handlingStay up-to-date with the latest trends in fintech, crypto, and backend technologiesBuild secure, crypto-first solutions that facilitate traditional financial activities like payments and transfersRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field), or equivalent practical experience3+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally in fintech or cryptoProficiency in languages like C#, Java, Scala, Go, or similarStrong understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and scalable systemsSecurity-first mindset with working knowledge of AuthN/AuthZ, API security, encryption, and SAMLFamiliarity with blockchain fundamentals, including RPCs, wallets, and self-custody principlesExperience with multi-cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP preferred)Comfortable with DevOps workflows and CI/CD toolsClear communicator and team player who thrives in cross-functional environmentsIf you are passionate about building simple solutions to complex problems and are obsessed with creating and building value, we would love to hear from you.
