Job Purpose

The Integrated Settlement Program Manager supports the Directors of the Settlement Units by providing support to expand and enhance programs and services. This position plays a critical role in supporting directors achieving programs and organizational related goals. This role focuses on strengthening program development and delivery by leveraging and seeking new resources. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to identifying and mobilizing resources, cultivating partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders, and facilitating strategic initiatives that align with settlement units programming and organizational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

Funding

In collaboration with Fund Development Manager, supports the Settlement Unit Directors, with: 

  • Research new funding opportunities and diversify funding sources for settlement related programs.
  • Preparation and submission of funding applications, proposals, and grant renewals.
  • Overseeing the preparation of reports and ensuring compliance with funders requirements. 
  • Maintaining and expanding strong relationships with funders and stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and accountability.


Community capacity building and representation 

Support the Settlement Unit Directors with:

  • Supporting with building capacity and maintaining partnerships with community organizations, groups, and stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at community meetings, events, and collaborative initiatives in relation to the settlement programs. 
  • Support strengthening community visibility and enhancing settlement programs' integration across sectors and partners. 


Program Expansion, Development & Support

Support the Settlement Unit Directors with: 

  • Acting as liaison between settlement directors and teams to identify gaps, explore and design innovative initiatives.
  • Development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and initiatives.
  • Contributing to organizational planning and follow-up processes.
  • Providing mentoring and problem-solving support to team members when/as needed.


Other duties may be assigned


Education and Experience

  • Four years post-secondary degrees in social sciences and humanities, with a focus on Community and Adult Education, Anthropology, Global Development or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in grant writing, funding applications, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of community development principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit sector operations, funding landscapes, and program development and evaluation.

  Required Licenses and/or Certifications

  • Criminal Occurrence Security Check – Must complete a Criminal Record Check in good standing and within three months prior to first day of employment.
