Job Overview
The Material Coordination Lead oversees and coordinates all aspects of internal and external material movement across the organization's multiple facilities and vendor network. This leadership role ensures that materials, components, and finished goods flow efficiently between departments and external partners to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines.

Duties

  • Lead and schedule daily activities for the Material Coordination Team across all facilities.
  • Maintain visibility of material flow, prioritizing based on production schedule and shipping deadlines.
  • Coordinate with Production Planning, Purchasing, and Quality to ensure timely movement of parts to and from outside services.
  • Oversee accurate documentation of transfers, shipments, and returns within ERP or tracking systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement in internal logistics efficiency and process accuracy.
  • Conduct regular meetings with team members to align goals and address bottlenecks.
  • Train and mentor team members on safe handling, documentation, and routing procedures.
  • Track KPIs such as on-time delivery to departments, vendor turnaround times, and material accuracy rates.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives related to production scheduling and supply chain optimization.
  • Ensure quality standards are met during material handling and transfers.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, production coordination, or material control within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Solid understanding of production flow, vendor outsourcing, and inter-facility shipping.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.
  • ERP and Excel proficiency required.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and part drawings.
  • Strong leadership presence and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through ability.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Calm under pressure with solid decision-making ability.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 – 60 per week
