The Carbon Snack Bar is seeking an energetic and dynamic Café Manager to lead our vibrant café team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure food quality and safety standards, and create an inviting atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Your leadership will drive efficiency, foster teamwork, and uphold the highest hospitality standards to make every visit memorable. Duties
- Lead and supervise all café operations, including ordering, service delivery, and cleanliness standards
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to ensure a high-performing team
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining optimal stock levels
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain rigorous food handling standards
- Monitor customer service quality, address guest concerns promptly, and foster a welcoming environment
- Coordinate shift management to optimize workflow during busy hours and special events such as banquets or catering services
- Conduct interviews for hiring new team members and participate in staff training initiatives to enhance skills in food production, culinary techniques, and hospitality best practices
Skills
- Extensive experience in hospitality, specifically cafe, quick service or fast food restaurant environments
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Toast for sales transactions and inventory tracking
- Strong background in restaurant management, including supervising teams and managing kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and health regulations
- Demonstrates leadership skills with experience in staff training, development, and performance management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle complaints professionally and efficiently
- Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and optimize food production processes
- Experience in event management a plus
- Familiarity with barista or coffee experience is advantageous for cafés serving specialty beverages
- Proven ability to interview candidates effectively and build a cohesive team through training & development initiatives

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
