A rapidly growing, solutions-focused provider of Electrical, Mechanical, Fire, Joinery and Security services is seeking an ambitious Sales Manager to take ownership of new business development across the BTR, universities, NHS, local authority, government, education and wider institutional sectors.
The business delivers fully integrated M&E and asset solutions, supporting both private and public-sector clients from project ideation and design through to installation, PPM, compliance, maintenance and reactive works. With a strong track record in the BtR and commercial property sectors delivering services to over 5,000 apartments last year alone the company is now entering an exciting phase of expansion into larger institutional markets. This is a key strategic hire with direct influence over growth planning, bid activity and sector penetration.
Role This role is ideal for a driven hunter who loves opening doors, identifying opportunities, and converting more minor works into long-term maintenance and project contracts through exceptional service delivery. You will sell an integrated solutions offering, including:
Mechanical & Electrical maintenance
Fire systems & compliance
Security, CCTV, access control and electrical gates
PPM packages
Small works and minor project installations
Full end-to-end consultancy, design, asset optimisation and problem solving
Responsibilities
As Sales Manager,
you will take ownership and lead the growth strategy targeting universities, NHS trusts, councils, and government organisations.
With your hunger for client engagement,
you will establish strong relationships with estate directors, procurement teams and senior influencers within target sectors.
You will provide consultative sales solutions,
understanding client challenges, and develop tailored FM and M&E solutions that add measurable value.
As the Sales Manager,
you will lead tenders & proposals, produce bids, proposals, and pricing models, and present at pitch meetings and industry events.
You will work closely with operational teams to ensure high-quality mobilisation, client satisfaction and contract compliance.
As a sales professional, you will always be considering the pipeline, providing ongoing market insight, forecasting and strategic recommendations to the senior leadership team.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience selling Mechanical & Electrical maintenance, facilities management services, fire / security systems, asset management, or small works / projects.
A successful track record of winning contracts in commercial or public-sector environments.
Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to understand complex estates and compliance needs.
A true hunter mentality
confident in researching, mapping markets, identifying opportunities and building long-term partnerships.
Professional communication, proposal-writing and negotiation skills.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Ambition to grow into a future leadership role as the division expands.
