Job Functions:
Provide initial evaluation and determine Plan of Care
Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistant in implementing Plan of Care
Deliver care consistent with the established plan of care,
Participate in quality assurance, maintain productivity standards, utilize modalities and exercise equipment appropriately, provide instruction which may include demonstration, written and verbal communication.
Provide feedback and follow up to Physician when appropriate, participate in discharge planning.
Provide timely reporting and documentation in the clinical record.
Assist with marketing and promotion of Physical Therapy clinic and facility.
Conducts department inventory and orders supplies as needed.
Participates in departmental development including answering phones, scheduling appointments, changing linen, and general tasks necessary for clinic operation.
Demonstrates compliance to the ethical roles and obligations of all Physical Therapists as determined by the House of Delegates of the American Physical Therapy Association and defined by the practice act for the state of South Carolina in areas of management of patients, consultation, education, research, and administration.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Solid organizational skill set
Appreciation for the importance of customer service
Proficiency in electronic medical record system
Education: Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program
Licenses/Certifications: Current South Carolina License as a Physical Therapist; current BLS
Experience: 2 years’ experience in outpatient setting
Under general supervision assists with direction of activities of Physical Therapy Department, providing quality service and care as prescribed by the Physician. Provides initial evaluation, establishes Plan of Care and administers treatments to referred patients and recommends changes in Plan of Care as appropriate.
