The Radiation Oncology nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of patients in the radiation oncology department. The ability to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory or visual fashion is essential. The radiation oncology nurse is responsible for patient education, physical assessment, nutrition counseling and assisting physicians with exams and procedures. Coursework/Training - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire. Bachelor's Degree - Nursing. ~1 year - Oncology experience.
