Florida Heart Associates is recruiting for a PRN CT Technologist Nuclear Medicine to join our team. A minimum of two years of CT imaging experience and IV puncture skills is required.
Located in the attractive Southwest Florida Gulf Coast area, Florida Heart Associates operates a modern medical center dedicated to meeting the cardiac needs of Southwest Florida. We perform diagnostic cardiac testing, in addition to peripheral vascular procedures. We also support an in-house cardiac PET imaging system, stress testing, ECHO, and management of arrhythmia equipment.
*EDUCATION: *Graduate of an accredited radiology training program ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT).
*EXPERIENCE: *
* Experience with CT imaging and I.V. puncture skills required.
* Minimum of 2 years of CT Imaging experience required
* ARRT (CT) and/or NMTCB (CT) preferred
*CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:*
* Registered in Radiologic Technologist ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT)
* Current active/clear Florida license in Certified Radiologic Technologist
*DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:*
* Start I.V.’s and inject contrast
* Perform any CT Imaging needed
* Perform quality control on camera.
* Radiation safety procedures and record keeping.
* Archive scan data.
* Assist cardiologist and nurse in emergency situations.
* Perform other duties as assigned by supervising manager
*PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: *
* Skill in intravenous puncture skills.
* Knowledge of cardiac and vascular scanning.
* Understanding of radiation protection and A.L.A.R.A. principles.
* Ability to critique image quality, troubleshoot technical issues and trouble shoot equipment issues.
* Skill in attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to communicate clearly with co-workers and patients.
* Ability to behave in a manner that exemplifies respect for others and the spirit of teamwork.
* Ability to use methods of protection from chemical, radiation, and bio-hazardous materials.
