*Dental Hygiene position*
To excel in this position you must be self motivated but also able to work well with a team. In this Family Practice style office we all work together to get our goals accomplished. A love for hygiene and personable attitude will let you fit right in.
*Specific duties*
* Work 8-5, Monday through Thursday (negotiable days)
* Performing basic hygiene tasks, including dental cleanings, scaling and root planing.
* Conduct patient assessments and oral health screenings
* Take dental radiographs
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide oral health instructions.
* Administer local anesthetic (preferred)
* Maintain accurate and detailed patient records electronically with Dentrix
* Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
* Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
*Qualifications*
* Valid state dental hygiene license
* Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
* Minimum of 2 years experience
* Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral pathology, and periodontal disease
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Proficient in dental codes
* Experience with Dentrix software
* 5-10 years of experience
*Knowledge/Skills/Abilities*
* Work well with others
* Strong communication skills
* Grasp of periodontal disease diagnosis and treatment
* Basic understanding of implants
* Basic understanding of orthodontic options
* Basic understanding of "every day" dentistry
* Confidence in personal understanding of what constitutes a healthy mouth
* Flexibility to adjust to office norms
* Professional demeanor
* Dependability
* Personable personality to connect easily with patients and the team
* Comfortable in high energy environment
* Ability to work efficiently through a set schedule
* Flexibility to adjust on the fly when necessary
