We are currently seeking a warm, energetic, and experienced Infant Toddler Teacher to join our team and support the development of children ages 0–2.

Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Infant Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, a deep understanding of child development, and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children ages 0–3.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and education for infants and toddlers.
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
  • Meet the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of each child.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Prepare weekly lesson plans and monthly newsletters.
  • Prepare and/or assist with meals and snack preparation.
  • Willing to change diapers and help potty train, based on the child's readiness
  • Conduct bi-annual developmental assessments and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Maintain open daily communication with families.
  • Supervise classroom assistants, aides, and volunteers.
  • Coordinate field trips and assist with program tours.
  • Keep accurate records including attendance, timesheets, anecdotal notes, and accident reports.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development trainings.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and report any suspected abuse to the supervisor.
  • Regularly inspect and replace damaged materials.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Excellent self-starting and initiative skills

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 ECE units including Infant/Toddler coursework (Early Childhood Principles and Practices; Child Growth and Development; Child, Family, and Community; and Early Childhood Curriculum; Infant & Toddler Development and Caregiving).
  • Experience working with children ages 0–3 preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to pass background checks and health screenings.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Openness to work 7:15am – 5:45pm, depending on the needs of the facility.
  • Willingness to occasionally will be in the preschool classroom.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Basic phone/tablet app proficiency.
  • Commitment to developmentally appropriate practice and inclusive environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and move items up to 20 feet.
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Close vision and hearing required to monitor children and respond to communication.
  • Ability to meet multiple demands and interact with children, families, and staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
