The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is a state government authority that promotes economic development and growth across the Commonwealth. VEDP serves businesses, state policymakers, and the Governor's administration by providing project coordination, marketing and communication, incentives and grants, research, and strategic insights to support economic growth.

Position Summary

We are looking for an Intern for the Talent Accelerator/Visualization Services Team during the summer of 2025 (10 weeks). This energetic self-starting individual is seeking on-the-job experience in graphic design, web design and marketing for both electronic and printed mediums and will complete a variety of projects with an emphasis on talent recruiting and learning and development.

Duties:

• Graphic design for printed and electronic mediums
• Web design
• Creation of marketing outreach for employee recruiting
• Creation of teaching/learning visual support materials for employee training
• Hand crafting of the above support materials
• Creating presentations/learning visuals

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Interest in graphic design, web design and marketing for both electronic and printed mediums
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective time management skills
• Eager to learn new methodologies
• Software skills using the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Acrobat, and After Effects. Microsoft Office - primarily PowerPoint and Word. Website creation using Wix or other.

Qualifications Preferred:

• Pursuit of a bachelor's or graduate degree in graphic design is preferred

This position will be part-time, in person - working a minimum of 24 hours per week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in our Richmond office.
