Role: Network Engineer Salary: £45,000 Location: Kent - Hybrid Employment Type: Full-time, permanent About Us We are a dynamic managed-connectivity services provider specialising in fast, reliable, resilient and secure networking solutions. We deliver network services across a variety of sectors - often to blue-chip clients - using a mix of backhaul technologies such as wireless, fixed line, satellite and mobile connectivity. Alongside this, we develop in-house software and data solutions, offering a blend of networking and technology exposure. The Role As a Network Engineer, you will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of customer network infrastructure. Acting as a technical liaison between clients and the internal engineering team, you will help deliver network rollouts, provide ongoing support, and ensure network performance and security. You'll also contribute to large-scale customer and internal network projects and support technical knowledge sharing within the team. Key Responsibilities * Provide network support: troubleshoot and resolve network issues including connectivity, hardware, and software faults. * Assist in installation and configuration of enterprise-level network equipment - routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, etc. * Monitor network performance and recommend optimisations. * Help implement and maintain network security measures (firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection, etc.). * Perform regular maintenance: firmware updates, patching, backups to ensure network availability and reliability. * Maintain accurate documentation: network configurations, diagrams, process notes. * Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on project planning and implementation. * Participate in delivery of larger network projects - from design through implementation, test and handover. * Assist with training and mentoring more junior team members.
