We are one of the largest employers in Kenora and our goal is to be the employer of choice by focusing on safety, courtesy, teamwork and inclusion The Homes for Good program provides rental subsidies to adults who have mental health and addictions needs, a dual diagnosis and/or transitional aged youth. Through local partnerships, using a Housing First integrated support model, the Community Consultant will work in conjunction with Case Management teams to aid individuals in securing and maintaining safe, affordable housing in the community. You are:

  • You Will:
  • Help individuals find the meaning, safety, and sense of belonging that comes with a home of their own.
  • Liaise between individuals and the community and provide appropriate referrals to programs and community organizations.
  • Provide social and emotional supports, and education about tenant and landlord responsibilities.
  • Help others to find their own path and support them as they walk it.
  • Promote each individual's right to dignity, respect, and freedom from judgement.
  • Provide monitoring, evaluation, and follow-up on a case management plan.
