Mission Intelligence Group is seeking a Mid-Level Software Architect to play a crucial role in the design and development of sophisticated software solutions addressing complex application challenges. In this position, you will focus on API design, data services, platform services, cloud services, and infrastructure services to meet user requirements while aligning with our strategic goals and Enterprise Architecture. You will leverage your software development expertise to assist in making high-level design decisions while ensuring your architectures trace back to Enterprise requirements. Your responsibilities will include analyzing user needs and existing software systems to propose enhancements, conducting detailed architecture documentation, and creating prototypes for evaluating emerging technologies. To excel as a Mid-Level Software Architect at Mission Intelligence Group, candidates should possess a strong foundation in software development principles and methodologies. Essential skills include the ability to conduct thorough analyses of user requirements and existing systems to inform design decisions. A deep understanding of software architecture patterns and best practices, combined with a strategic mindset, is vital for aligning solutions with Enterprise Architecture. Effective communication skills are crucial for articulating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate creativity in developing prototypes and evaluating new technologies, showcasing adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning. Finally, a strong focus on customer needs and quality assurance will be instrumental in delivering high-quality software solutions that drive success for our clients. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Technology, Mathematics, System Engineering, or a related STEM Degree Program, or six years of experience as a Software Architect in lieu of a degree. A minimum of six years of experience working software design and architecture in government or industry. Experience in one of the following areas: cloud computing, service orientation, containerization, micro?services, API development or DevSecOps. Experience building and delivering working products to customers in a modern, cloud?based software environment. TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.
Desired Skills and Experience: Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages. Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience. Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience.
