Position Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Shift Supervisor to oversee operations during assigned shifts at our Heytea store. In this role, you will lead a team to ensure efficient store performance, uphold service quality, and maintain high operational standards. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be a critical part of the Heytea brand's continued expansion and reputation for excellence in the food and beverage industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with company standards.
- Lead, coach, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain overall operational excellence.
- Resolve customer concerns and handle issues professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Oversee cash handling, POS operations, and end-of-shift cash reconciliation.
- Monitor inventory levels, complete stock checks, and communicate restocking needs to management.
- Ensure proper execution of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices; complete routine checks such as temperature logs and cleaning schedules.
- Assist with onboarding and training new employees and provide ongoing performance feedback.
- Support store marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns during shifts.
- Manage task assignments and delegate responsibilities to team members.
- Execute opening and/or closing procedures, ensuring all operational checklists are completed.
- Maintain a safe and compliant environment by following provincial health regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in food service and retail management — preferably in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Comfortable with cash handling and POS operations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- (Considered a strong asset) Valid Food Handler Certificate
- (Considered a strong asset) Experience in bubble tea, café, or similar F&B environments
- (Considered a strong asset) Multilingual abilities (e.g., English, Mandarin, Cantonese)
