*Job Overview*
As a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be dedicated to improving the communication, swallowing, and feeding abilities of children with speech and language disorders as prescribed by the primary care physician. Your role involves conducting assessments, designing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with families, caregivers, and teammates to enhance the overall quality of life for our pediatric clients.
*Responsibilities:*
Collaborate with teammates, parents, caregivers, and those other people involved in the child's care to facilitate services that are consistent and of the highest quality.
Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments using the appropriate tools necessary to comply with funding requirements, and for meeting best practice standards to determine strengths and needs regarding communication, swallowing, and feeding skills.
Create and follow through with personalized treatment plans based on assessment results, to be completed and submitted according to company deadline requirements.
Educate families on strategies and techniques to support speech and language development at home.
Contact families and other treating professionals to schedule treatment sessions.
Provide evidence-based therapy services based on recommended and prescribed units as outlined in evaluation reports.
Complete and sign all encounter notes to document evidence-based therapy services as per company requirements.
Track client progress and adjust treatment plans, goals, and objectives as necessary to ensure appropriate skill acquisition.
Complete all other paperwork as assigned promptly. Paperwork may include, but is not limited to: Initial evaluation, annual reevaluation, progress notes, discharge summaries, other reports, summaries, and documentation as assigned.
Be available to provide direct speech therapy services, attend meetings, conferences, and perform other related duties as agreed upon during the hiring process.
Participate in all required meetings for professional development and growth.
Participate in team meetings and contribute valuable insights to the development of the company.
Work collaboratively with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
Participate in 1:1 meetings with leadership and respond appropriately to feedback concerning job performance.
Advocate for the needs and rights of pediatric clients in various settings, including schools, clinics, and community organizations.
Collaborate with community resources to support children's overall well-being.
*Requirements:*
* Effective and professional communication skills with a wide variety of people in a wide variety of settings.
* A sincere desire to work with children and their families, ages birth to 18.
* Excellent organizational skills, including time management, with attention to detail and accuracy of information.
* Basic computer and typing skills: Database use and access, internet use and access, word processing use, cloud services and sharing, spreadsheet use and access, browser software access.
* Skills to keep track of and work through multiple tasks in a busy environment.
* Skills to accurately read and interpret workplace documents, policies, and procedures.
* Ability to write reports and correspondence effectively while under deadlines.
* Ability to effectively communicate with strangers, parents, groups, and other employees appropriately.
* Skills to follow written, verbal, visual, or demonstrated instructions to independently carry out a task in a timely and effective manner.
* Follow company policy and expectation regarding dress code and appropriate appearance.
* Regular attendance to consistently and effectively implement and participate in your roles and responsibilities as an employee of the company.
*Qualifications:*
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Specialized training or experience in pediatric speech-language pathology.
Strong understanding of child development and various speech, language and feeding disorders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Projected Total Compensation: $45.00 - $66.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week
