Position Overview Diligent is seeking a Director of Sales to lead and execute our go‑to‑market strategy within the Risk & Audit domain. This role requires a commercially astute leader with deep technical understanding of the Risk & Audit landscape who can engage credibly with senior stakeholders and guide teams to position Diligent’s solutions with authority. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Director will oversee a regional sales team while also carrying an individual target. The ideal candidate will combine strategic leadership with hands‑on sales execution, leveraging domain expertise to drive growth across new business and expansion opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the regional sales team and define territory and client strategies for new and expansion business.
Drive sustainable revenue growth by positioning Diligent’s Risk & Audit solutions to address complex client challenges.
Partner with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to refine messaging and align go‑to‑market activities with market needs.
Oversee pipeline management, forecasting, and performance metrics to ensure predictable delivery.
Coach, develop, and inspire a high‑performing sales team with a culture of accountability and learning.
Attract, hire, and onboard top talent within the Risk & Audit domain.
Act as a domain thought leader – maintaining a pulse on regulatory, compliance, and risk trends that influence customer buying behavior.
Required Experience & Skills
10+ years’ experience in SaaS or enterprise software sales, with significant exposure to Risk, Audit, or Compliance technology solutions.
Proven success in leading and scaling sales teams in a high‑growth environment.
Deep domain knowledge – either as a seller of Risk & Audit solutions or as a professional with direct experience in this field (e.g., Risk, Audit, or Compliance practitioner).
Strong executive presence and ability to influence cross‑functionally at senior levels.
Skilled in pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and strategic sales planning.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Passion for driving results and developing high‑performing teams.
