Business Analyst - Product Management, Charles River Development, Assistant Vice President The Charles River Development Middle Office team is seeking a Business Analyst to collaborate with clients and developers, creating solutions that improve the client experience, product feature set, and the strategic position of the CRD Investment Management System.
What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate will become a Charles River product expert, ensuring our software effectively supports end users’ middle office workflows. They should be comfortable with both financial and technical concepts and deliver on specific requirements in a timely, project‑by‑project manner.

Responsibilities
Apply detailed knowledge of business requirements and workflows to assist in product development.
Research and produce business and technical requirement documents.
Work directly with customers and product management to gather product requirements and develop feature specifications, covering all aspects of the software product life cycle.
Partner with development to help design, implement, and refine features.
Plan and schedule validation tasks, perform hands‑on manual tests, and develop verification plans and processes.
Provide feedback on product performance and review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Support client beta testing and train personnel on new product releases.
Assist with project scheduling, deliverables, and support escalated client issues.
Actively participate in the Agile software development process, including daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Participate in group testing activities as needed.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in the software development life cycle, with Agile methodologies preferred.
Strong experience with middle office investment management and investment accounting functions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation ability.
Advanced writing skills with the ability to abstract/summarize highly detailed information.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to reconcile conflicting data.
Ability to translate customer business needs into application requirements.
Strong technical background and understanding of financial markets and trading.
Demonstrated planning and scheduling skills.
Knowledge of one or more CRD functional financial areas highly desired.
Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Business with an MIS background; MS/MBA preferred.
