Solutions Architect - Payments (12-Month Contract) We're looking for an experienced
Solutions Architect
to join a major transformation programme focused on modernising
payments systems . This is a
12-month fixed-term contract
offering the chance to shape the architecture of a
cloud-native, SaaS-based platform
handling multiple UK payment types. What you'll be doing
Define and deliver
end-to-end payments architecture
across inbound and outbound flows. Work closely with
Product Owners, Analysts, and Development teams
to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and resilient. Influence the technical roadmap for
UK payment rails , including CHAPS, Bacs, Faster Payments, Direct Debits, and credit cards. Apply your expertise to
modern cloud-native solutions , ensuring integration across multiple applications and data sources. Essential skills & experience
Proven experience as a
Solutions Architect
with a focus on
UK payments . Hands-on knowledge of
CHAPS, Bacs, Faster Payments, Direct Debits, and credit cards . Experience delivering solutions in
large-scale transformation or modernisation programmes . Strong technical understanding of architecture frameworks, scalable design patterns, and cloud platforms (ideally
Azure ). Desirable skills
TOGAF certification
or equivalent architectural framework experience. Familiarity with payment regulations such as
PSD2 / PSD3 . Experience with SaaS or
cloud-native platforms . Why this role is exciting
