Socorro Wellness and Rehab is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist patients with daily living activities. This role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients in various settings, including memory care, urgent care, and medical offices.
*Duties*
* Assist patients with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming needs.
* Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
* Provide support in medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff.
* Help patients with mobility and physical activities as needed.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
* Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and care plans.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and best practices in patient care.
*Qualifications*
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred; experience in memory care, ICU, OR, or PICU is a plus.
* Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology is highly desirable.
* Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
* Ability to administer medications as directed by nursing staff.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
* Compassionate attitude towards patient care with a commitment to improving patient quality of life.
* Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of relevant training programs is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
