Hometown Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Manager to lead and inspire our Waupaca pharmacy team while ensuring exceptional service, clinical excellence, and operational efficiency.
*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care by ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to enhancing patient health outcomes. The Pharmacist will work closely with healthcare professionals and patients to manage medication therapy, provide education, and support overall wellness.
*Responsibilities*
* Review and interpret physician prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy.
* Dispense medications accurately while adhering to all regulatory guidelines and pharmacy standards.
* Provide patient counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
* Collaborate with healthcare providers regarding medication management, including pain management strategies.
* Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient profiles, and inventory management using pharmacy software.
* Supervise Pharmacy Technicians in their duties and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
* Participate in patient care initiatives, including pediatrics and specialized medication administration practices.
* Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in pharmacy systems to enhance service delivery.
*Requirements*
* Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
* Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice.
* Proficiency in pharmacy software systems for efficient medication dispensing and record keeping.
* Experience or knowledge in IV insertion techniques is preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmacology and patient care.
* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team focused on improving patient outcomes.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of pharmacy.
