Project Manager

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a major Personal Health Number (PHN) initiative . This project focuses on establishing a unique lifetime identifier for individuals receiving healthcare services, enabling interoperability and seamless connection of personal health information across healthcare systems.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and successful delivery of the initiative, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, managing multiple stakeholders, and overseeing budgets, risks, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the PHN project through all phases of the project lifecycle.
  

• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and detailed documentation.
  

• Manage internal teams, external vendors, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
  

• Oversee project budgets, resourcing, and risk/change management processes.
  

• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations for executive stakeholders.
  

• Ensure alignment with organizational objectives and technology standards.
  

• Support other digital health or technology initiatives as required.
  

• Provide leadership in change management and communication activities.
  

Mandatory Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager .
  

• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in digital health/eHealth within a Canadian jurisdiction .
  

• Minimum 12 years of IM/IT experience .
  

• Minimum 5 years managing projects related to Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) and Master Data Management (MDM) .
  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  

• Ability to travel within Canada for meetings as required.
  

• Must be based in Canada .
  

Desirable Requirements:

• Proven experience managing large, complex digital health or IT transformation projects .
  

• Strong expertise in stakeholder engagement and communication planning .
  

• Experience with project governance , vendor management , and contract oversight .
  

• Familiarity with data privacy and PHIPAA or similar regulations.
  

• Recognized Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred.
